  Samford University's 175th Anniversary
This year, Samford University is celebrating the 175th anniversary of its foundation in 1841. Samford’s Harwell G. Davis Library will open its doors on Friday, November 11th, to showcase preserved, rare and treasured items from Samford’s history, including many items usually carefully housed in Samford’s University Archives and Special Collection. The display will include items such as Samford’s earliest matriculation records, which date back to our beginnings as Howard College in Marion, Alabama. The open house will highlight many key artifacts that provide a glimpse into Samford’s past for students and alumni.
